Harry J. Gold is a pioneer in digital and direct marketing with over 28 years of industry experience. He is the Founder and former CEO of Overdrive Interactive, a Boston-based award-winning digital agency he built from scratch in 2001 — right after the dot-com bust — with a few unemployed friends. In 2024, he successfully exited the agency via a sale to private equity (the Capitala Group), which he has described as a life-changing outcome.

Today, Harry leads Lightspeed GTM, a consultancy that helps enterprise companies compress months of go-to-market planning into days by aligning teams, clarifying strategy, and driving faster ROI. He also serves as an Instructor for the Association of National Advertisers (ANA).

Before founding Overdrive, Harry held senior leadership roles at top global agencies including Havas’ WHS and Interpublic’s Mullen Lowe, running campaigns for brands such as Club Med, Financial Times, Bose, LendingTree, and General Motors. At Overdrive, he grew the agency into a nationally recognized firm serving marquee clients including Harley-Davidson, Goldman Sachs, Dell, IBM, GE, Philips, John Hancock, Citizens Bank, AT&T, Akamai, Staples, and Bazooka Candy Brands.

Harry holds a B.S. in Accounting with a Minor in Computer Science from Southern Vermont College — a blend that gave him a rare combination of financial acumen and technical depth that directly informs his marketing approach.

Harry is a prolific thought leader and sought-after speaker who has spent decades sharing his expertise with marketers and business leaders around the world. He has authored 165 articles as an expert columnist for ClickZ, one of the most respected digital marketing publications in the industry, covering everything from search strategy and paid media to demand generation and integrated campaign planning.
